JSEI provides practical support for education navigation, housing stabilization planning, workforce pathways, and reentry coordination.
This intake is for currently or formerly incarcerated people, justice-impacted students, and community members planning their next step into school and work. Partners and family members can also submit referrals.
Steps
- Submit a request via the online form.
- Schedule a call to review your timeline.
- Build a plan with a navigator.
- Follow-up for ongoing support.
Common support requests
- Getting enrolled (or re-enrolled), transfer planning, and campus referrals
- FAFSA/financial aid paperwork, holds, and deadline planning
- Housing search strategy, documentation, and stability planning
- Resume + job search planning aligned with education goals
- Reentry logistics (IDs, benefits navigation, scheduling barriers)
To help us respond faster
- Your deadline (if any) and what you need by that date
- What you’ve tried already (so we don’t repeat steps)
- Any constraints (transportation, phone/email access, supervision schedule)

Scope: JSEI provides navigation support and referrals. We do not provide legal representation. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. If you’re in crisis, you can call or text 988.
Privacy: We only collect information needed to support your request and do not share your information without your consent, except when required by law or in emergencies.
We review requests on business days and will follow up with next steps. If your request is time-sensitive, include your deadline in the form.
