Who does JSEI serve?

Formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted individuals in California pursuing education, training, employment, or stabilization planning.

Do I have to be enrolled in college?

No. JSEI supports participants before enrollment, during enrollment, and through transfer, stop-out, or re-enrollment.

How do I request support?

Start on the Get Help page. Intake supports planning and referral coordination based on capacity.

Does JSEI provide financial assistance?

Sometimes. Direct assistance depends on restricted funding rules, eligibility, and capacity. Navigation and referrals may still be provided.

Is my information confidential?

Yes. Information is treated as confidential and used only for service coordination and program improvement. De-identified data may be used for evaluation.

Is JSEI an emergency provider?

No. JSEI is not an emergency shelter, crisis response provider, or legal services organization.
